🚨 The AIR 14 Fraud 📢

How a guy cheated his way to air 14.

From Negative Marks to AIR 14: The Case of KC Basava Reddy

April 2024: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, a gateway to India's premier engineering institutions, is supposed to be a test of merit, hard work, and intellect. However, this year, the exam has been embroiled in a scandal so blatant, so audacious, that it has left students, parents, and educators questioning the very integrity of the system.

At the center of the storm is KC Basava Reddy, a name now synonymous with alleged cheating and academic dishonesty. Reddy, a student of the notorious coaching institute Sri Chaitanya, achieved an All India Rank (AIR) 14 in the JEE Main 2024 results, a meteoric rise from his January performance where he scored a dismal 7 percentile – a score so low it practically necessitates negative marking.

The Reddit Post That Sparked Outrage

The controversy erupted when a Reddit user(the AIR 15 Guy), recounted a shocking tale of blatant cheating. According to the post, Reddy allegedly copied all 75 questions from the user's paper, resulting in an identical perfect score of 300/300 for both individuals. Due to NTA's tie-breaking policy favoring older candidates, Reddy secured the higher rank, leaving the legitimate guy feeling cheated and disillusioned.

The Evidence Mounts: A Trail of Suppression

As the Reddit post gained traction, further evidence emerged, painting a damning picture. Comparisons of Reddy's January and April scores highlighted the statistically improbable jump, raising suspicions of foul play. Netizens, fueled by righteous anger, flocked to social media, calling out Reddy and Sri Chaitanya on their official channels.

The response? A blatant attempt at a cover-up. Sri Chaitanya, seemingly more concerned with its reputation than the integrity of the exam, disabled comments on YouTube videos and Instagram posts featuring Reddy. Attempts to shed light on the issue were met with swift action, as videos discussing the scandal were mysteriously removed from YouTube.

Evidence that the Coaching Institute is trying to cover-up the cheating scandal

After some investigation and with the help of some wistleblowers, We fetched the Reddy's Mock Test Marks. As expected, his performance was poor in Mocks. He attempted only 4 Mock Tests out of 23. Averaging around 94 Marks, while the Institute claimed that he was scoring 275 average.

The Coaching Mafia and its Political Ties (ELECTORAL BOND DONATION)

Sri Chaitanya's desperate attempts to silence dissent raise disturbing questions about the influence of coaching institutes in India's education system. Recent investigations have revealed that the institute has been funneling crores of rupees into electoral bonds, potentially buying political clout and ensuring their controversial practices remain unchecked.

Is this the reason behind the deafening silence from authorities? Despite evidence and public outcry, the National Testing Agency (NTA), the body responsible for conducting the JEE Main, has remained conspicuously silent, offering no explanation or investigation into the matter.

A Message to Parents: Beyond the Rat Race

While IITs, NITs, and IIITs offer a promising start, they are not the only pathways to success. The relentless pressure placed on students to secure a seat in these prestigious institutions is leading to mental health issues, anxiety, and in extreme cases, as we have seen, even loss of life.

Parents, it's time to re-evaluate our priorities. Let us support our children in pursuing their passions, fostering their talents, and building resilience, rather than pushing them into a cut-throat race with potentially devastating consequences.

The JEE Main scandal is a wake-up call, a symptom of a larger disease plaguing India's education system. It's time for transparency, accountability, and a genuine commitment to meritocracy. Let us ensure that the future of our nation is built on a foundation of integrity, not deceit.
